Our view's on the show

I was in the nest with Norman Barney and George Angsuwan working the sound most of the night and from what I could see people were really getting into the rock -n- roll with their full attention. Tapping feet, moving heads up and down, dancing, screaming. I could tell people wanted to hear rock -n- roll and that's what they got. All the bands did a great job with their performances and the sound they produced was phenomenal. The room couldn't have gotten any fuller, packed from wall to wall most of the show standing room only. The turn out was more than anyone could have asked for. They even had food to purchase outside the doors, that kept people there even longer in my opinion.
Other than a few sound problems and a skirmish, the show was perfect. I had a great time and I think that Okeechobee will never forget that night.
This is to be an annual event, so be sure not to miss Summer Jam 2000!

I would like to take this time to thank some very special people for helping us with the show:

Jody Fadley - for coming up with the idea in the first place!

Steve Christopher - for being a kick butt drummer!

Vance Akins - for excellent pre show and during show photography.
Rob Keating - for an endless list of advertising and promotional work!

Troy Corser - for filming the JSR section of the show.
Robert Hargrave Sr. - for helping with the drink specials.

My apologies to anyone who hasn't been verbally or otherwise thanked, Take the time to pat yourselves on the backs for you are all deserving for a great show Thanks again!

By the time I got there at 2:00 PM Sunday September 5th (Doors opened at 3:00 PM) and noticed all the people streaming in, I knew something huge was going to happen in Okeechobee. Rock -N- Roll in the air so thick you couldn't cut it with a knife.
As soon as LouD took the stage, and the crowd jumped into participation, I knew for sure where this was going, FAST! :)
LUSTER with front man George, grabbed all of us with their unique style of rock -n- roll (with a twist) and would not let go - oh what a rush! You just had to be there!
By the time I jumped on the stage with our 3 piece band JSR, the crowd was already there mentally - and we were there physically, and boy were we there! NOBODY'S going
Home SoonÓ. I thought our set ended far to soon- we could have played all night!
And if that wasn't enough, Whisker Biskit gets on the stage and blows everybody away with all of our favorite classic rock -n- roll songs, pinch me please, I must be dreaming!
Just when I thought the pace and attitude was about to settle down, Standing 8 jumps on the stage with a strong mix of covers and originals, nobody was left standing.
Closing the show with the legendary, Timmy Bast Band seemed all to appropriate! :)
A damn good time was had by all, hope to see you all next year!

I came to the Rock show to hear some good ole Rock n Roll and to have some fun.......and that is exactly what I got. It was the best time I have had in Okeechobee. All the bands were fantastic!!!
From the gripping sounds of Loud to the heart racing music from JSR........Whisker Biscuit really rocked the place down followed by the great performance from Standing 8. A good time was had by all that came out to support Marthas House. I would like to thank all the bands and all the people that put this show together. It was the best!!! Its nice to know that there are people in this town that still love to hear Rock and Roll music. Without them, we wouldnt have a show. Rock will never die!!!
Cant wait for Summer Jam 2000.......
