CK:

So, tell me..what exactly, motivates you, the artist to write songs?

"7ucky" (Lucky):

Well... I love to right about alot of real life issues but also fantasy, i think there is alot out there to motivate any musician. I mean, being a struggling artist is enough too inspire anyone to Cunjour up a song or vision in a creative mind.

CK:

When did you first start singing, what made you choose music?

"7ucky" (Lucky):

I never started as a singer but guitarist, and in 1992 at age 12 i had watched the Guitar Expo 92 show on BBC TV. After seeing such great performances i felt a connection, within a month i began self tutoring.

CK:

Describe your typical stage show performance. Give us a hint into what we might expect to see are your show.

"7ucky" (Lucky):

Our show at present is in early stages, my vision for the live show is a very ambitious one. This is mostly becuase the artwork for 1 of my albums "Project 8105" come with its own comic book style package, being a concept album i want to incooporate alot of the artwork into the live show. Other than that you get to experience great musicianship with high energy performances, something fairly rare to find in a trio.

CK:

Tell us about your worst gig and why it was so bad.

"7ucky" (Lucky):

As always it boils down to bad gear for me hehe, i borrowed a power amp for my guitar setup and it shorted out within the 2nd song! Not only that but it was burning away behind me, my own private smoke machine that wasnt supposed to be a part of my performance that night at all lol!

CK:

Can you name a few of you favorite places on the web for band promotions?

"7ucky" (Lucky):

Its all pretty new to me, i use though obvious Myspace, Facebook, Twitter etc... but there are still alot more for us to delve into let alone the new sites that appear week in week out.

CK:

Introduce the members in the band:

"7ucky" (Lucky):

Lucky Singh: Guitarist, Composer, Producer Kevin Bartlett: Drummer & Graphic arts Ben "Billy Bob" Bosco: Bass, Mandolin & Website Coding.

CK:

How many members in the band write music?

"7ucky" (Lucky):

Just myself but the guys contribute alot to the overall sound, incooporating there own style and sound to my music giving it the perfect feel and edge that i always hope for.

CK:

If you are a band and have a concert schedule, would you like some extra free promotion? Visit Free Band Promotion

"7ucky" (Lucky):

Okey Dokey!

CK:

Have you ever paid for advertising for the band?

"7ucky" (Lucky):

Indeed.... We are always investing alot and time and money into Marketing & Promoting these 3 albums and our band, the one thing you must know is you have to go to the people and its very rare that people will just migrate to you and your music.

CK:

Your latest release is on CD, DVD, MP3 Online, All of the above or Other?

"7ucky" (Lucky):

CD & Mp3 only at present, http://www.cdbaby.com/luckytunes

CK:

Are you signed to an indie label?

"7ucky" (Lucky):

Not right now.

CK:

What do you like most about being an INDE artist?

"7ucky" (Lucky):

Freedom!! Without doubt it is more than a blessing to have artistic freedom in what you produce, it gives you a great feeling of Liberation to know peopl buy your CD's because they genuinly like your music and havnt hopped onto the band wagon! As an Inde Artist you produce the music you want too and in turn the fans love you even more, for that very reason.

CK:

If your band could open for a headlining act, who would it be and why?

"7ucky" (Lucky):

It is a difficult one this.... The 3 albums could open up individually for 3 different artists so, Project 8105: Dream Theatre "7": Joe Satriani Tokyo Rules: U2 Im just dreaming here, better to dream big though right? hehe

CK:

How big of an impact do you think the underground, indie scene has on the current pop culture?

"7ucky" (Lucky):

I think it has a very big impact, alot of big name "Pop" artists tend to listen to underground music, it really does inspire that inspiration for innivation from the norm "Pop" culture everyone knows. Allthough i do think the "Pop" culture has a certain amount of influence on Inde Sales & revenue when Celeb fans pick up on the Celeb Ipod Playlists and find Inde acts in them.

CK:

My favorite drum kits are made by Drum Workshop (DW), what is yours?

"7ucky" (Lucky):

I couldnt agree with you more, Jeff Campitelli is one of my all time favourite drummers and he swears by them!

CK:

Are there any established artists with whom you would like to collaborate?

"7ucky" (Lucky):

Countless artists, i would say co-writing an album with Desmond Child would be first!

CK:

Who is your favorite unsigned Band?

"7ucky" (Lucky):

I have many, wouldnt feel right to single one out so sorry im gonna have to chicken out of this one haha.

CK:

Where do you practice as a band and how often?

"7ucky" (Lucky):

We have a rehearsal space about 5 miles from where we live, every Wednesday morning we krank up and start the day!

CK:

What do you think of our little interview system?

"7ucky" (Lucky):

Am at question 19 so its kept me interested, lots of good questions too so thank you ;-)

CK:

If you could talk to anyone in the music business, who would it be?

"7ucky" (Lucky):

I would love to sit down and have a good brain picking session with Steve Vai, how an artist can have so much freedom and success is exactly what makes us underground artists fascinated by.
