The Body Experience Review page on Myspace presents mp3's from the band as well as pictures of the band performing live. There is information describing the beginnings of the band and there is the option to leave the band a message under 'comments'.

CK:

What would you like to change about your city's local music scene?

Body Experience Review:

I would like to see more live music venues available for local bands to perform original music on a regular basis, I would like to see the venues equipped with high range working P.A systems and quality amplifiers and microphones. I would like to see more of a support for live music in my town by music fans.I would like to see the local council provide more opportunities for live bands to perform music for the local community in turn benefitting the people of the town through entertainment and culture.

CK:

How long does it take for an average song to go from a musical idea to a recordable song?

Body Experience Review:

Ideally we like to work with a song and try many angles and ideas suggested by each band member before we commit ourselves to a framework for a particular song. Each song is like a painting in that we all add our own colours even if it was one person who picked up the paintbrush and put paint to canvas first. We like to work with a song and play with it continually within our given framework so that the song like a living entity can grow organically and can change dependant on the mood or feeling of each band member individually or collectively.

CK:

Describe your typical stage show performance. Give us a hint into what we might expect to see are your show.

Body Experience Review:

There is no such thing as a typical stage show performance for Body Experience Review as each gig is sure to provide us with different input from a variety of stimuli such as the layout of the location we are playing, the people who are there and how they are acting and interacting etc. Most importantly the band seek to give it everything each time playing, playing music live is a great joy and its just always (usually) a pleasure to be performing if everything is going right. Even if everything is going wrong the band will still have as great time playing and hope anyone who might be there is enjoying themselves.

CK:

What is important to you about the music?

Body Experience Review:

Having a sense of the music freeing you is always going to be important when performing. Playing music and listening to it is excellent for freeing oneself from the everyday banality of anything really its all about letting go and really going for it , having a great time and letting the music really get to you. For the members of Body Experience Review it's important for the band that the band is trying to create something which the members can really let go with emotionally and perhaps physically.

CK:

What you feel is the most important thing about your music?

Body Experience Review:

I feel the most important thing about our music is that we enjoy it basically. I dont think there is anything more important than that.If it became unenjoyable then we wouldnt do it. Like many things there may be times where we can feel less inspired by life and our surroundings due to our mood but music is always going to be there for you to play and listen to and work with as a medium of expression. Music is your friend. It always will be.

CK:

Have you ever paid for advertising for the band?

Body Experience Review:

No. Im sure we would consider it at a later point. Perhaps when we had any money. I think the band would rely a lot on self promotion really. Its great to achieve things yourself without paying someone to do it for you. You are able. Why not do?

CK:

What makes you and your band unique?

Body Experience Review:

We are in this band. We're not in any other band. We are unique individuals and we all have different dna to anyone else in the world.

CK:

Has the internet really been helpful to your promotion?

Body Experience Review:

I think the Internet has been paramount for the promotional activities of the band. I am very grateful for the existence of the internet as a tool for research, learning, sharing and promotion. In using the internet the band is able to find new listeners for our music who we may have found it extremely problematic to even know of had the internet not existed. With the existence of the internet the band can now cut corners of BEAUROCRACY and contact selected people and groups without many problems.

CK:

What is your favorite local venue?

Body Experience Review:

CK:

Where do you practice as a band and how often?

Body Experience Review:

Soundmagic Studios, Peebles Street, Ayr. Operated in part by John Reid, musician and all round good guy. A member of the excellent Sucio Perro and the wonderful Marmaduke Duke made up of Sucio members and Biffy Clyro members.Truly an excellent band to witness performing live. John Reid has always been excellent to the band and we are grateful for his opinions and input into anything given his experience.

CK:

Do you have a street or e-team system in place? Want one for your website?

Body Experience Review:

The band would definitely love to have a street team. We have a few footsoldiers in our friends but we would love to have many, many more friends of the band!

CK:

What is your favorite song on your current album?

Body Experience Review:

I think all the songs of our demo E.P are very interesting creations, they are indicative of where we were at the time figuratively speaking, they are all like photographs in time. except theyre songs. obviously. I really enjoy performing Random Dance.

CK:

What made you want to pursue songwriting?

Body Experience Review:

I have enjoyed writing from a young age as I loved the craft of writing, wordsmithery! I love being able to present ideas and thoughts with words. I love how the simple manipulation of words can so strongly affect the meaning of a piece of prose. I love to communicate through writing, I love the ability to put my life and my experiences in a context. Everyone thinks.Everyone 'writes' in their head all the time. Your thought is essentially your soul writing away in your head, your self constantly evaluating the world outside your head and how you feel about it, how you react to it. I love words. I love the ability to convey how I feel often more articulately in written form than I could in speech. I would literally be all over the place if I could physically try say everything I wanted to in so many situautions. Often there is just so much I would like to say. And its often not appropriate in my responding to the communications of another given the context of our interaction.words can be pretty.words can be tough.but its how you interpret them thats the important thing.interpretion sure is important.

CK:

When did you first start singing, what made you choose music?

Body Experience Review:

I first started singing when I was 14 years old. I started singing in a band that was formed with high school friends, I just really got a great buzz from performing live infront of other people. I had no idea I could sing, or that I would go on to consider I could actually make a living from it.
