CK:

If your band could open for a headlining act, who would it be and why?

American Accent:

Matchbox 20, because we share a similar sound with them and they're one of the biggest artists in the world.

CK:

How big of an impact do you think the underground, indie scene has on the current pop culture?

American Accent:

I think the indie scene is a part of pop culture. It's just a subculture that tries to be "anti-culture", but it's really not. When the "alternative" is popular, it is no longer "alternative."

CK:

Has the internet really been helpful to your promotion?

American Accent:

The internet is the best promotion tool for any band. As much as we try to utilize it, I always feel like we're only at the tip of the iceberg.

CK:

What do you like most about being an INDE artist?

American Accent:

I like the challenge of trying to play the game that has been played by so many greats over the years.

CK:

Are you looking to get a record deal? Why?

American Accent:

Yes ma'am. We're not just looking for any deal though. We've already passed up several. We want to be in the right position to negotiate a GOOD contract with a major label. Right now we're being looked at by J Records, Jive Records, Aware Records, and Capitol Records. Why? I want to make a living in this business and not have to tour till I'm 60. If we can make big bucks now and then NOT live like rockstars, but save that money...it might last us for awhile to support families.

CK:

What is your favorite song on your current album?

American Accent:

On our album that's out right now--You Always Stop the Rain, on the album coming out in April--Come Back Home.

CK:

Who is your favorite unsigned Band?

American Accent:

Torrid www.torrid1.com

CK:

Do you have a street or e-team system in place? Want one for your website?

American Accent:

We do have a street team that we call the A-Team. Info can be found on our website at www.americanaccentmusic.com

CK:

How do you transport your equipment to the gig?

American Accent:

As few vehicles as necessary. No trailer yet.

CK:

If you could put on a show anywhere were would it be?

American Accent:

ANYWHERE? hmm...Madison Sqaure Garden
