CK: Are you looking to get a record deal? Why?
Chaos Clique: yes, We have been playing for years, music is our life. If we dont happen to get a record deal I am sure most of the band will continue to work in the music world one way or another.
CK: Introduce the members in the band:
Chaos Clique: Ronnie Reegs (bass), Jason Reigle (Drums), Nikki Tokes (Guitar), G-Rock (MC), J-Skillzz (MC), DJ Ruckus (Turntables, keyboard)
CK: Tell us about your worst gig and why it was so bad.
Chaos Clique: We played a show in Philly at The Grape St. Pub in Manyunk. It was on a Wendsday night. We went on last at like 12:30, we didn't advertise for the show and only like 10 people showed up, plus we got there at like 7. We all sat there drinking for like 5 hours pissed at ourselfs for not promoting. By the time we went on we were pretty buzzed and on top of that we had one equipment problem after another. The guitar players guitar cut-out and it took him like 10 minutes of our half hour set to figure out that it just pulled out of his head a little bit, just enough where he couldn't see it. That was our worst show.
CK: How many members in the band write music?
Chaos Clique: all of us
CK: What genre(s) would you say your music is under?
Chaos Clique: Rap/Rock/funk
CK: What is important to you about the music?
Chaos Clique: Keep it up beat, there are so many bands out there that are soooo depressing, and all power to them. But we want the fans to leave our shows pumped up and feeling good about life, not wanting to slit their wrists, wondering why the world is such a horrible place.
CK: How do you transport your equipment to the gig?
Chaos Clique: We have a band van
CK: How long does it take for an average song to go from a musical idea to a recordable song?
Chaos Clique: 3 to 4 months
CK: If you could talk to anyone in the music business, who would it be?
Chaos Clique: A&R from Sony
CK: So, tell me..what exactly, motivates you, the artist to write songs?
Chaos Clique: performing live, I love to play shows. I would play every night if I could, and you need material to play live.
CK: If your band could open for a headlining act, who would it be and why?
Chaos Clique: Limp Bizkit, because we kind of have the same style, I love their music (mainly the old stuff) and I think we would give them a run for their money.
CK: When did you first start singing, what made you choose music?
Chaos Clique: I've allways loved music and wanted to be in a band since I was like 10 or 11. When I finally got my first band together it took me a long time to get over the butterflys.
CK: Can you name a few of you favorite places on the web for band promotions?
Chaos Clique: my web-site, www.talentmatch.com, www.garageband.com, www.barstar.com
CK: Are there any established artists with whom you would like to collaborate?
Chaos Clique: The Beastie Boys, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park
CK: What is your favorite local venue?
Chaos Clique: Crocodile Rock Cafe in Allentown PA
CK: Do you do any recording on your own?
Chaos Clique: just to lay down ideas on a 4 track
CK: How did you/all learn to play, self or school?
Chaos Clique: some were self taught and others took lesons when they were kids
CK: Do you have a street or e-team system in place? Want one for your website?
Chaos Clique: We are working on getting a street team together.
CK: Who are your biggest influences?
Chaos Clique: Beastie Boys, Run DMC, G-Love, Metallica,
CK: Where do you practice as a band and how often?
Chaos Clique: We pratice in an old factory that my parents own. Over years and years we have hooked the room up. The room is 30x50 feet and is all sound proofed. We put in a pool table, arcade games, bar, ect... I figured I would do whatever it took to keep my band members there, even though they do get distracted sometimes. We pratice 3 or 4 nights a week for about 4 hours.
