VR:

How important do you think tour support is?

Daisy Compelled:

It depends on the bands your touring with. You tour with a big band, then their fans will see you. If your both small bands just touring for fun then definately get support from local fans and get help passing out flyers for all dates and everything.

VR:

What would you do if you lost your musical abilities and are you a fullfilled enough person to accept that if it happened?

Daisy Compelled:

Most everything I do or enjoy is based around music somehow. I'd for sure be pissed but I'd eventuall learn to deal with it. Ya know ? Meh whatever, things happen.

VR:

How do you guys put songs together?

Daisy Compelled:

Most of the time the songs are completely composed by me or Austin. On some songs, like So Plain Ohio, we just jam until we find something we like and then work from there.

VR:

Nice shirt your wearing, where did you find that?

Daisy Compelled:

(laughs) I bought this at the Modest Mouse concert at Stubbs Barbecue in Austin. Theyre definately my favorite band and probably the biggest influence on my writing.

VR:

Are there any established artists with whom you would like to collaborate?

Daisy Compelled:

Psh. Modest Mouse, Phish, Medeski Martin & Wood would be cool. Maybe someone local though like Dance Girl Dance.

VR:

What would you like to change about your city's local music scene?

Daisy Compelled:

The problem with Dallas's music scene is that there isnt alot of college radio. Thats a huge thing too. It tells people about bands coming to town, and it also helps promote local bands. I only know of one college radio station here too and its TCU (Texas Christian University). They promote local bands but dont talk much about upcoming shows. Besides that I think we're doing O.K.

VR:

Do your songs have a message?

Daisy Compelled:

It depends on how you look at them. They're all written about something that meant something to us. Even "She beat me with a club" is about someone whos influced about 99.9% of our songs. So I guess I'd say that none of our songs are meaningless but not all of them have deep meanings oa rnything like that.

VR:

Who is your favorite unsigned Band?

Daisy Compelled:

Either A.N.S., Dance Girl Dance, or maybe The Filthy Skanks.

VR:

What made you want to pursue songwriting?

Daisy Compelled:

It's a creative outlet. It was something to do when I was bored and it made me feel good. I could express myself without going and whining to a friend or telling someone face to face what I thought about them.

VR:

So, tell me..what exactly, motivates you, the artist to write songs?

Daisy Compelled:

Everything...thats all I can say.
