[ Artist Website ] | [ Buy Our CD ]
VR: Tell us a story about the making of a song:
ANNE: Mac: When I was teaching our original bassist Freeman the riff from "Counting", he said that we needed to be counting in our heads.
VR: Will mp3.com really provide an avenue for people to make it?
ANNE: Will: For some people.
Jamie: I doubt it.
Mac: Nope.
VR: What would you like to change about your city's local music scene?
ANNE: Mac, Jamie, Will: Less pop punk.
VR: Has the internet really been helpful to your promotion?
ANNE: Jamie: Not really, we just put some of our songs on a website, and let it run from there.
Mac: Our website has helped us.
Will: Not really.
VR: Name and describe your most memorable gig.
ANNE: Mac: We just had our first one in November, and Will wasn't there, so it was different.
Jamie: I liked my face paint.
VR: Give us a run down of your audio equipment:
ANNE: Mac: Crate electric guitar, distortion pedal, Crate 10-watt amp.
Will: Fender standard jazz bass and a crappy Kustom amp.
Jamie: Jet drums, Saluda cymbals, Camber cymbals, remo heads
VR: How long does it take for an average song to go from a musical idea to a recordable song?
ANNE: Mac: I write a riff, and I play for Will and Jamie, they come up with the bass and drums, doesn't take long.
VR: How do you feel about NAPSTER's situation?
ANNE: Will: It sucks that you have to pay for it now.
Jamie: Greedy musicians, you aren't losing money if you don't get it in the first place.
VR: What do your lyrics talk about?
ANNE: Mac: "Believe" is about propaganda spread by a local politician.
Will: *laughs*
VR: How do you write your songs (how do you think of them)?
ANNE: Will: Mac writes something and then me and Jamie just come in and improvise.
VR: Who is your favorite unsigned Band?
ANNE: Mac: Pykon
Will: Pykon
Jamie: The Nocturnal and Pykon
VR: Do you or your organization promote up and coming artists:
ANNE: Jamie: Since we're not an organization we don't really do a lot of promoting.
Mac: We tell our friends about bands that we play with.
VR: If you could talk to anyone in the music business, who would it be?
ANNE: Mac: David Byrne or Roger Daltrey
Will: James Hetfield or Andrew W.K.
Jamie: Davey Havok or Andre 3000
VR: Where would you want to be musically say a year from now?
ANNE: Mac: I want to have out a couple of albums and played a couple of shows.
Jamie: Yeah.
Will: I want my goth Thunderbird.
VR: What made you want to pursue songwriting?
ANNE: Mac: I like music.
