Tell us a story about the making of a song:

ANNE:

Mac: When I was teaching our original bassist Freeman the riff from "Counting", he said that we needed to be counting in our heads.


VR:

Will mp3.com really provide an avenue for people to make it?

ANNE:

Will: For some people. Jamie: I doubt it. Mac: Nope.


VR:

What would you like to change about your city's local music scene?

ANNE:

Mac, Jamie, Will: Less pop punk.


VR:

Has the internet really been helpful to your promotion?

ANNE:

Jamie: Not really, we just put some of our songs on a website, and let it run from there. Mac: Our website has helped us. Will: Not really.


VR:

Name and describe your most memorable gig.

ANNE:

Mac: We just had our first one in November, and Will wasn't there, so it was different. Jamie: I liked my face paint.


VR:

Give us a run down of your audio equipment:

ANNE:

Mac: Crate electric guitar, distortion pedal, Crate 10-watt amp. Will: Fender standard jazz bass and a crappy Kustom amp. Jamie: Jet drums, Saluda cymbals, Camber cymbals, remo heads


VR:

How long does it take for an average song to go from a musical idea to a recordable song?

ANNE:

Mac: I write a riff, and I play for Will and Jamie, they come up with the bass and drums, doesn't take long.


VR:

How do you feel about NAPSTER's situation?

ANNE:

Will: It sucks that you have to pay for it now. Jamie: Greedy musicians, you aren't losing money if you don't get it in the first place.


VR:

What do your lyrics talk about?

ANNE:

Mac: "Believe" is about propaganda spread by a local politician. Will: *laughs*


VR:

How do you write your songs (how do you think of them)?

ANNE:

Will: Mac writes something and then me and Jamie just come in and improvise.


VR:

Who is your favorite unsigned Band?

ANNE:

Mac: Pykon Will: Pykon Jamie: The Nocturnal and Pykon


VR:

Do you or your organization promote up and coming artists:

ANNE:

Jamie: Since we're not an organization we don't really do a lot of promoting. Mac: We tell our friends about bands that we play with.


VR:

If you could talk to anyone in the music business, who would it be?

ANNE:

Mac: David Byrne or Roger Daltrey Will: James Hetfield or Andrew W.K. Jamie: Davey Havok or Andre 3000


VR:

Where would you want to be musically say a year from now?

ANNE:

Mac: I want to have out a couple of albums and played a couple of shows. Jamie: Yeah. Will: I want my goth Thunderbird.


VR:

What made you want to pursue songwriting?

ANNE:

Mac: I like music.
