Backbone: Wrote a song about a guy we know that's been playin in bars for years.

VR: Do you or your organization promote up and coming artists:
Backbone: Just ourselves.
VR: Tell us about the hardest time surrounding a gig or studio project.
Backbone: Playing to a room with no one in it.
VR: How do you feel about NAPSTER's situation?
Backbone: Hate it. Were all for Napster.
VR: Do you have all your songs downloadable at mp3.com?
Backbone: Yes.
VR: What you feel is the most important thing about your music?
Backbone: We have to like it or we can it.
VR: So, tell me..what exactly, motivates you, the artist to write songs?
Backbone: Everything. We don't have to be motivated, we just write songs all the time.
VR: Give us a run down of your audio equipment:
Backbone: Guitar - Fender and Yamaha guitars. Line 6 amps in and out of the studio.
Bass - Fender Signature Jazz. Ampeg head and Hartke cabinets.
Drums - Roland V-drums. Awesome.
F/X - Behringer, Lexicon, Alesis.
VR: Have you ever paid for advertising for the band?
Backbone: Oh yeah...do you know where it's free?
VR: Do your songs have a message?
Backbone: Some do.
