hey guys, my sister told me tonight she wants new 6x9's in her car for x-mas......whats a good boomy pair of 6x9's for under $80?? thx Replies (6) kiaman on 12/12/2003 03:19:20 oooo btw, they will be run off of a JVC head unit...not sure but think somewhere around 15w rms Swez on 12/12/2003 03:29:02 Boomy... 6x9's and 15 watts per speaker, under $80.00.... hummm Depends on the install space and efficiency of the speakers you choose. I have used these (below) before and found them very capable of decent bass and very efficient too. AMERICAN PRO: VS1469C:4 WAY 6"X9" 300 WATTS 150 WATT RMS CHROME BASKET AND CONE BUTYL RUBBER SURROUND 1" NEODYMIUM TWEETER 2.5" MIDRANGE 30 OZ MAGNET 45HZ-20KHZ SENSITIVITY 91 DB $50.00 a set @: http://justcarspeakers.com Swez NOTE: These are very large speakers and require more depth/height than typical factory x9's. They sit tall with the mids & tweets, so a little careful insatall engineering may be needed. kiaman on 12/12/2003 03:48:34 wow, didnt think ne1 was up at this hour.....but American Pro? i thought they where in the same class as legacy, and parymid? cplkittle on 12/12/2003 09:17:30 Blaupunkt, from my experience, do very well with the watts from a factory HU, most are around 150w max. Small (100w) amps aren't that much if you need one. Tray on 12/12/2003 12:34:12 Are they going into the Kia listed above, or into another vehicle? The sound will be changed quite a bit by the application. (Trunk, vs doors of a truck). kiaman on 12/12/2003 21:27:55 no, they are not going in my kia, they are going in her 4 door sedan.....cant remeber what kinda car it is lol....but they will be in the rear deck....im gonna order a pair of kickers or fosgates....havent decided which ones yet tho.......thx for all your suggestions.
