well, car audio and audio in general are all personal preference. you said you liked how they sounded, thats all that i would really care about if i was in your situation. I myself am not a big fan of audiobahn and would not buy them, but thats just me, i have my own likes and dislikes. :) i'm on a CDT thing right now, i love CDT, thats what i would buy right now.

there is a big difference in cdt and bahn.. both in price, and use. cdt is a sq speaker, where bahn in more spl. When was the last time you saw someone winning sq with bahns? I am on the sq side myself and there for they do not meet the requirements that I have.

So the question is, what are your requirements for the speakers? SQ, SPL, or "just sound better then what I have now?"

exactly, i know about the price difference, but again, like you said, we need to know what hes looking for, in both price range, and what he wants sound wise.

I'm in the same camp as the other guys... Bahn is OK and can be had for cheap if you shop em hard. But if you are into high quality audio sound, may do better to shop around a bit more before you make a choice.

Also, depends on your budget... if you only have $100.00 to spend, hard to find the good stuff at that price. The better Comps start at ~$200.00 a pair and up.

See if you can find a dealer that has a good display wall with some of the high end Comps. Infinity Kappas, CDT, Polk, Boston Acoustics, MB Quartz, Focal and the like. Once you hear these as compared to Bahns, then you'll have a better feel for what's out there.

A final thought, if running Comps in your system, they typically need more power than the typical HU amps can support. Not to say they will not sound good... but will sound much better with 50+ watts (RMS) to each channel.

PS The front channel drivers are the most important SQ components in a car system. This is what you will hear most, as they are closest to you in the driver position. A well choosen set of Comps, installed properly and adequate power, will blow you away every time!
