Opening a retail store

Any advice on opening a retail store selling car audio and electronics? My son and I are very interested in doing so - career change for me and a CAREER for him. Any advice, insight, comments, admonishments are greatly appreciated.
TIA
Roger

I have looked into it, I called an Audiobahn dealer to find the prereq's for becoming an authorized dealer, He wanted business liscense, tax id, and proof of storefront to sell to me, and $2000 to lockdown an area code (depending on population) as the only or one of a few authorized dealers. They also distribute kenwood, kicker, panasonic, pioneer, rockford fosgate, MB quart, MTX and a few others I didn't get to write down because he ran over the list so fast. You can call 714-690-7530 (audiobahn) and they will give you a point of contact for your area.
I don't know about the others, this is the only one I have looked into. I hear some distributers want a picture of an installation bay and MECP certification to become an authorized dealer... don't know about that though.
