Okay I know alot of people bag on Audiobahn, but I got a great deal on (2) A2X200HQ rack amps. $300 for both brand new, couldn't pass it up. I think they look awsome. My question is this: I want to run (2) Alum12Q's, one off each amp. They have dual 6 0hm VC's and run at 3 ohm or 12 ohm. Specs on the amps are: 4 ohms mono: 200x1 2 ohms mono: 400x1 1 ohm mono: 800x1 Can I do this? I'm not looking for gut wrenching loud bass (getting old) this is for a show car. Thanks for your help. In all actuality, a 4ohm voice coil checks on an ohm meter at around 3.2+ ohms, so I am assuming a 6 would be around 5 or so. wired in parallel you should have a 2.5 to 3 ohm load. Your amps will be able to handle that no problem. Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
