Ok I'm looking at getting 1 JL W7 13.5 or 2 JL W7 12's... the 12's are 600 watts each and the 13.5 in 1200 each. would the 13.5 sound just as good as the 2 12's?

I think the 2 12's would stomp waaay harder .. two always sounds nicer than one !

how much are you going to get those two 12's for though ... aren't they going to be expensive ?

and 2 always sound nicer then 1 is more of a mental thing in some instances. i have heard 1 sub systems that you wouldnt know where just 1 sub if you didnt see it. i'm looking more for facts on these specific speakers then a generalization of all speakers.
