I need some opinions - what would you buy: the e12A.22 or the RE HC 12" I'm looking for mainly SQL, with the most SPL for the SQL if that makes any sense. Thanks a lot! By the way - I'm planning on powering it with a JBL 600.1 and I'm thinking a vented box. Let the opinions come ASAP - It's going on the xmas list GRIN Replies (9) cplkittle on 12/3/2003 13:49:20 can't find anything about the re hc, and their website sucks. The E12A.22 is pretty impressive. Both are high performance competition worthy subs, but without any more information (T/S parameters on the RE HC) I can't really make an educated guess. Buickman94 on 12/3/2003 14:53:50 Yea the RE website is kind of a pain to navigate. Go to the bottom of the page and clich on tech (you have to put the cursor over the little arrow first), then go over to the right after it loads and click on enclosures / TS param. Then right under the pic of the sub go to TS PARAMETERS. Then over to the left you can go to The HC. If your going to use the 600.1, the ED would be a good choice. According to there website, that would be plenty of power for daily driving. The 12A also requires a smaller box. cplkittle on 12/3/2003 18:04:25 I saw that, about the smaller box, and the bad boy has dual spiders too.. is 2 weeks between upgrades too soon? haha I agree with Buckman, I would go with the E12A's snipe523 on 12/4/2003 03:57:25 The 12A should get louder. It also has amzing SQ. All in all it is one of the best SQL drivers out there right now. The HC is a very nice sub but between the two I would take the 12A over the HC. MUSoccer on 12/8/2003 18:59:19 Thanks a lot guys - I'm gonna go with the 12A. I think im going to use their vented box design too. I'll be sure to update everyone on how it sounds (I can't wait!) cplkittle on 12/8/2003 19:51:09 Please do, that is one of the more important parts of this forum. Alot of suggestions and recommendations are given and barely any results. uochronos on 12/8/2003 21:42:22 Let me know how that 12a sounds i'm looking into getting 2 of those bad boys if they can be close to a W7 in SQ and SPL. MUSoccer on 12/16/2003 21:03:09 Wellllll - I DID IT - just bought the goods online. Stay posted for updates! snipe523 on 12/17/2003 02:24:17 You should be more than happy with it. I love mine I know that much. I prefer the sound of it in a sealed box around 1.5 cubes, but the proted box didn't sound bad at all either. But I am also more of an SQ guy so that probably is why. From the sounds of what you are looking for the ported box should do you pretty good. Just to give you some sort of comparison. My friend has two 10W3v2's in a ported box and my 12A selaed smokes them in both SQ and SPL. He bought his authorized too and paid out the but for them. Needles to say he was pretty pissed when he found out what I paid for mine :) Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
