hello everyone on my Pioneer 6 disc CD player it has buttons for controlling fading from rear to front.... this does not allow for fine tuning of the fading and i tend to get a little too much sound in front or the rear but not the balance i want for my ears! is there something i can add to my Pioneer stereo that will allow me to have better control over this? thanks! GRIN Replies (7) uochronos on 11/30/2003 19:07:20 What model pioneer cd changer and pioneer stere is it... most pioneers have a pretty good fading fine tuning somewhere one them. mine has something like a 20 postion fade. if you tell use exactly which models these are we can help out alot more. ttocs on 11/30/2003 19:52:19 if you added an amp to either or both sets of speakers it would allow you to adj the gain to where you want it. yanges on 11/30/2003 21:11:23 it is a Pioneer model made specifically for Scion.... the fader settings are -R7 to -F7, so with it set at -R5 for example, it sounds pretty good but i would like it a little more in rear.... at -R6, it is way to loud in back and not nearly enough in front.... i think an amp may be the way to go..... can i control the balance between front and rear in my xB with this? how does it accomplish this? thanks! yanges uochronos on 11/30/2003 21:53:39 Basicaly hooking an amp up would accomplish it by alowing you to change the gain on to the front and rear speakers speratly basicaly you would have a seperate control for how loud you wanted the front and rear you could set the front at 10% less then the rear and so on with an amp. if you just wanted the rear ones to be louder you could ad an amp to just those and then adjust the gain to the desired level since the gain is a knob on the amp you can fine tune it very easily to exactly how you want it. An amp would probaly be the best way to get it exactly how you want it. i agree with ttocs. yanges on 12/1/2003 11:45:47 thanks for the tips uochronos and ttocs! how many speakers can 1 amp control? do i need separate amps for front/rear or can i use 1 amp for front/rear speakers combined and still control the gain separately for both front and back speakers? thanks! uochronos on 12/1/2003 12:47:40 Yes you can control front and rear speakers gain seperatly with most 4 channel amps.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3061477939&category=18796 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3061913721&category=39742 if you give us a price range you want to spend we can help you find an amp. the 2 above are both off ebay and both brand new. the top one is a high end phoenix gold amp. the bottom one is a decent MTX amp... both give you the ability to adjust rear and front gain seperatly... cplkittle on 12/2/2003 10:04:36 for added sound controll and fine tweaking, you might consider adding an EQ also.
