My friend has a 03 Cavalier Z24 or Z34 whatever they are. He has a factory amp and i took a quick look and think its under the glove box. His car also has the radio that stays on for a short time after the car is shut off. Well we hooked his system up w/ factory cd player and the remote wire is hooked up to the fuse box the fuse for the radio. The amp stays on after the car is shut off. Thats do to the fact of the factory amp right? So how do i fix this so then he doesnt have to keep disconnecting the remote wire? Thanks

The remote wire from the amp to the fuse box.

I have never run into this problem personally, you might want to try to find an accessory power supply to connect the remote wire to if the radio dosen't have one, or the one it has isn't working properly.
I have put switches on remote wires as well in the past for a quick kill on my subs (noise tickets are $100+ here).

the newer gm's link the radio switched to the door trigger. This allows for the radio to stay on until the door is opened. You can simply find a different switched wire in the fusebox. The factory radio may infact have a remote wire even though you do not have a pwr ant. On GM cars I believe it is pink.
