OK I have 2 12" RF Power HX2s running on 2 Power 1500bd, and I have a Type RF Competition 100 Farad capacitor, with a OEQ 10 band signal processor and I have CP4CKDS amp kit (800 watts), and I have the pioneer premier DEH-P940MP deck, I also have the RF Fanatic Q FNQ3146 component speakers, and its not hooked up yet, and wanted to know is there anything else I need to get before I send it to the audio king, I mean should I get another amp kit, better subs, extra battery, bigger alternator, or anything else, im also thinking of getting the S18X Kicker and i might sell the HX2s, should I do that or not? if you guys would reply I would appreciate it. APitBullT on 11/27/2003 20:49:03 Audio King = Ultimate Electronics Swez on 11/27/2003 21:02:57 With that much amp power in the kit, you may have to upgrade the electricals in your SUV. Not sure what is stock ALT/BAT combo here, but the 2 sub amps alone will pull close to 100 amperes of current each , when you push em hard. That means a big ALT and BAT. If you have the means, consider installing a separate ALT/BAT and power lines for the audio amps. Let the stock system handle the regular car needs and the 2nd system for your amps. This will save your present electrical system from major overload. As for the subs... the Power HX2's (12's) are pretty potednt subs in the proper enclosure design. A single 18" will demand a huge enclosure and you may not get much punch... just droning booms. Depends on your fav moosic. For now, try the RF's and see how you like them. The only way you would have to upgrade is if its a 4.0 I-6 with no trailer tow pkg. FYI. Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
