Need a Subsonic Filter

I need a subsonic filter to run the sub I am looking at and my amp does not have one. The only one I have found anywhere is combined into a line driver that costs $50. I was just wondering if anyone knew if / where I could get just a subsonic filter, becasue I really don't need the line driver. Thanks.

you could use the bass cube by phoenix gold if you want. It is a single band parametric bass eq with a subsonic filter, but will run you a little more then $100.

You might be able to get an f-mod. It is a crossover that simply plugs into the rca. Check crutchfield.

F-Mod does make a crossover that blocks below 20Hz, which seems like what I want. I am still wondering about this particular filter: most subsonic filters I have seen block below 10Hz, while this one blocks below 20Hz. Will I actually notice the difference between the two?

probably not.... A lowpass passive crossover like that will have a slope that will slowly start to cut the frequencies out. An electronic crossover will have a steeper slope.

Subsonic crossovers are not a bad thing but yet are not always necessary. I would try it without first, then with to see if you feel you need it...

Thanks, I'll give it a shot
