i have been looking on ebay the last couple of weeks, and i wanted to know witch older rockford amps are good ones? like the dsm ones or ix's or the a2's ? i was thinking on buying a 200ix or maybe the long power 1000 with the fan(do u guys know what i mean by this one)? also what does the dsm and ix,a2 stand for? thanks

hell yea I know the pwr 1000........... Plan on a alt upgrade on that one!
I like the old, black, square ones from the punch 45 era.. Damn things will never die. I have seen people bring them in to be installed lookin like it was used to test missles, but still worked.

I have not followed Rf since the days of the punch 45 style amps, and best buy picking them up. Sorry I do not know what they mean.
Paintball is a good time. Stings for a while but still good fun. I don't know of any forums though. Go to google and do a search..

Not sure what the dms & ix series were, but the a2 series is circa early 2000's. Good amps in all but RF did some of their best gear pre-2000.
How much bass do you want? Not sure what electricals you have now, but once you get above ~ 500/600 RMS watts, pulling a lot of current.
