well, i just bought a cd player from a friend, and i took it to car toys to get it , i was on my way home and i tried to put in the cd, and it takes it in, reads it for a while, and then spits it back out. The radio works fine but the cd wont play. what do you think is wrong?

yeah, i tried a few other cds, and it just does the same thing, takes em in, reads em for a little bit, and spits em back out. havent tried a lens cleaner, but it was sitting in the garage for about 3 weeks so that is a possibility

bought a lens cleaner cd, spits that back out as well....i dont know what to do guys, and my son is clueless as to what to do next as well, he wants to just re-install it, lol, i guess he can pay for it if he screws it up. my son is xplicitblitzboi by the way. he has one of those medals by his name.

Got a father son group now... My dad collects stamps. Specifically, stamps from the Danish West Indies from the early 1900's. I don't know where the Danish west indies are, nor what I will do with all the postage that I will inherit.... Wish he could get into something like this, Something that actually still has a use..............

It does sound like the HU is not happy. However, it may be worth investing in some "canned-air" to spray into the cd chamber. You can take the little nozzle tube and stick it in a ways (be careful not to go too far or you may hit the laser and then it will never work) and give it a blast or two. Also, sometimes decks have reset buttons. You may wanna try that if you've got it.

hmmmm, i still dont know whats wrong, already tried the air pinch, no luck there. this is an older kenwood unit, and im not particularly fond of kenwood anyways, but i dont see any reason for it not working...it was in one of her older cars that has some tranny problems, but the unit worked fine before it was taken out...im lost for where to go at the moment, and i know if we take it to car toys they will just screw us over and charge us some rediculous amount of money.
and yes scott, it is very nice to have a father that is into some of the same things i am. he, luckily has a better job than me(i would hope so, lol) so he has a 12" brahma in his grand prix.... good thing he doesnt drive that very often, they probably would have stolen that as well.
i have driven that car....damn it makes me want a fast car, just to have so much power at your will. its great stuff.
