I read about a few EQs recently. I currently have a Panasonic DiN Sized DVD Player and Alpine Receiver/Screen. I'm done with DVDs and have decided to move on to SQ. So i figure I could put in a DiN Sized EQ in place of the DVD player. My question is, what are good EQs that fit in DiN locations, or is there a setup that allows for 2 1/2 DiNs? I found these particular links on eBay, let me know what you all think. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3059904334&category=3290 http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=10453 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3059697390&category=3290 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3058616141&category=3290 That's what I've been able to find, and tried to read some reviews about them. The Kenwood KGC-9044, seems to be the easiest for installation as it is an all in one unit. Is that good or bad? Any info would be appreciated. I also am not sure if EQs are wise investments or not, especially for $200 or so. Thanks, Derek Replies (4) Tray on 11/19/2003 11:59:07 What Alpine HU do you have? My $.02 is that most of the higher end Alpine units are going to do more for your sound than any add-on EQ. dflock on 11/19/2003 14:26:32 I have the CVA-1001, but will sell it along with the DVD player and use that money to get a new Alpine deck. I was just planning on getting a $199 - $299 headunit (new). I have seen Alpine head units with EQs, but weren't sure if they did as much as an external, or cost effective. Sometimes those types of head units jump up to $500-600. _derek ttocs on 11/19/2003 20:06:44 buy the add on Ai net and you would not have to loose anything.. it is pretty cool and accessable from the 1001... dflock on 11/20/2003 17:36:57 Ai Net, external equalizer? I'll check alpine's website in a sec and see what the deal is. It is mostly a matter of actually finding a place to put something, I was figuring under the driver or passenger seat is an option.
