which model were you going to get! the SQ and SPL is absolutly AMAZING!!!!!!!! !!! with the SW9122

I had a 12 SW9122 750watt rms sub in a bandpass. It was beautiful.. no It was more than beautiful..

Just please.. for the love of god.. don't do what I did. Make sure you got enough Watts to run them!

ebay is the answer!!!
I just ordered 4 audiobahn 10" dvc subs for under $200.
Here are some other internet audio dealers
sell2all.com
judysdeals.com
audioblowouts.com
consumerdirectzone.com
electronichq.com
The only eclipse titanium speakers I could find in a brief search look like they are going to run you around $600. on ebay

Do you really need a pair of 12's? Tell us what you have interms of amp(s) now and where you want to go in terms of SPL/SQ/SQL subs.

A budget figure would help as we search for possible options.

what does SPL/SQ/SQL subs mean ??

dflock on 11/10/2003 16:30:31
SPL = Sound Pressure Level
SQ = Sound Quality
SQL = Combination of SPL and SQ

SPL is loudness
SQ is how natural (good) bass sounds

dflock on 11/10/2003 16:31:50
$600 for one sub? wow... I would look into other companies also. I'm sure you could find other subs comparable but half the price such as IDQ, Adire Audio, Resonant Engineering, Onyx Audio...

eRKMaN619 on 11/10/2003 16:36:21
what does IDQ mean and do you think I should get two amps for each sub or one for both

dflock on 11/10/2003 19:37:38
IDQ = Image Dynamics, Stereo Company. Below is their website.

Adire Audio

Resonant Enginnering

Onyx Audio

That should keep you busy for a bit. I personally have an Adire Audio Brahma 12". It cost me $400 with shipping, and handles 600 watts RMS, and is a great combination of SPL and SQ. And am very happy with it for the price I paid.

getting two amps is up too you, depends on how crazy you want your system to get. for ease of install and to keep the price down one good Class D amp might be fine, and most likely all you would need before you blow out the windows.

Good cover there dflock! I agree with your choices as well. All 4 subs mentioned are well above average in performance, power handling and well... a bit pricey, but worth it !!!

One strong Class D amp will be all you need.

Swez

PS You'll only need one sub to get it loud and proud... USFLAG

I never really like the eclipse subs. They lacked a little, well actually a lot for that price...
