Hello, I have a Pyramid 1600 watt 2ch amplifier. I want to run my Kicker comp vr 12's (4ohm) with this amp. How should I run the speaker wire from my amp to my subwoofers? I've heard of bridging and running the subs in parallel, but do not know which is the best way. I want to make it to where I am getting the most power as possible to my subwoofers. Thankyou in advance for your help. USFLAG CLAP Replies (1) Swez on 11/8/2003 10:23:08 The easiest way is to keep the amp in 2 channel mode and wire 1 sub to each channel. You can wire each VC in parallel for a 2 ohm load this way. This nets max power from each channel to subs. The other option, is to bridge the amp down to MONO (1 channel) But here, you have to wire each sub VC in series first, then both subs in parallel to the amp. Not hard to do and will net same power output to the subs as well. The Kicker website has diagram to show how to do each way. This site should have what you need in .pdf files: http://www.kicker.com/images/manuals/ CompVRTechManualV2_1.pdf Swez Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
