What are the pors and cons of but titanium and silk... is silk definatly better or do they both have high points? i'm getting the CDT components off the zeb for 149 or 159 and can decide to get the silk or titanium ones.

Titanium tweets will be a little crisper than Silk ones but at the same time at higher volumes they also have a tendency to sound a little harsh. My personal preference is for silk dome tweets because they seem to be very smooth and on my CDT's they never get harsh.

Agreed, silk tweets are much more natural sounding at all power levels while Ti or metal dome tweets can become very harsh, shrill and unnatural sounding as the power input is increased.
If you like the warmth of natural tones for Jazz, R&B and classical music... silks are the best choice. If you like Rock, Rap and Techno etc., metal tweets tend to cut through the heavy bass a bit better. Just more sizzle in the highs.
