well i home made my box and its sealed... do you guys think i should get a ported one or a sealed one ... which would make it sound nicer and hit harder ... and my amp is gay i have a 1200watt power aqustik amp ... but it pushes my 2 - 12's but its a 4 channel amp .. is it possible for me to buy another 4 channel 1200 watt power aqustik amp pushing one for each sub ... or is that not possible since they are 4 channel amps ... what do you guys think i should do about that ...
any advice would help thanks ...

Kicker web site offers a good tuitorial on recommended sub enclosures for their Solobaric L7's. Ported will be louder and deeper in bass, but sealed will take more power and deliver more punch.

Keep the Acoustik amp for your highs/mids and get a real sub amp to power these SPL subs. These subs are rated at 750 RMS each. Any good amp, 1200 -1500 RMS will do well, if you go sealed.
If you go ported, make sure you have a Subsonic filter ( built in to amp) to block frequencies below the port tuning frequency used. Very hard on subs to play notes below prot freq.

when i had my l7s i started off with just one, i had both a ported and a sealed box for it, im more into spl right now so the ported box was great, it was noticable louder than the sealed but the sealed box gave a more punchy bass. when i moved onto a second l7 i had a sealed box made for them and it pounded really hard. would definitly recommend gettin a good mono amp, like the bp1200.1 or the kicker kx 1200.1. both are 1 ohm stable and will give decent power to the subs depending on the wiring. have you checked the box you have now for leaks or proper space. its pretty important that the sub be in an enclosure that is within its specs, adds life to the sub and just makes it sound better all around. good luck.

oh if you are interested i can give you the dimensions off the box i have for the dual 12s. its out in the garage but i havent used it for probably 6 months, so i cant remeber the deminsions right off the top of my head. but if your interested let me know and ill go measure them early tomorrow.
