How do I install a Pioneer CDX-FM35 cd changer in a Ford Super Duty F-250 pickup truck with a factory one cd system installed.. I have no manuals fort the equipment. Replies (1) ttocs on 11/5/2003 10:17:28 I assume you have all the cables? There should be a 17-20ft black din cable, a small box that plugs into the display, as well as the din cable, and some antenna ends comming out? A 99 ford is fairly easy. I will give you instructions, but I be sure to proceed with caution. I have been wrong, once.... There is a large piece that surrounds the radio, climate controls and airvents that simply pulls off. Start at the top and work your way around. When It is off, you can disconnect the airback switch if you want, or leave it on if you want. To pull the radio, go to a auto parts store and buy ford radio removal keys(probably a good idea to do this before you yank the dash)... They are a few bucks($5 maybe). You should be able to figure out the rest. I normally start by finding a place to mount the chngr. Look for a clean flat area where you will be able to throw a couple of screws. Check the area beind it to make sure you don't puncture anything. Now all you have to do is run the din cable up to the front and conntect it to the mod box that gets buried in the dash. I am sure you can go from there. This is not an install to be afraid of at all. The books I have only go up to 97, but ignition wires should be dark blue with green, and constant could be yellow, orange/yellow or lt green and purple. Get a test light while at the auto parts store. You don't need anything nice, they are cheap also. ?'s? Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
