how would i run alpine type-r comps and alpine 6.5s in the back with a jbl px600.2? would it be too much power?

Im sorry but im lazy tonight, but if u can tell us what ur comp. and ur 6.5's are rated at rms we will be able to answer ? alot faster. But if u used this amp ur going to have to run ur comps in parrallel and ur 6.5's in parrallel since u only have a 2 channel amp and im not sure if thats good for them or not so wait for like swez or somebody to answer ur ?

That PX 600.2 will definitely blow all your speakers to smitherines. Too much power!!!
The P 80.4 would be a good choice... 40 RMS/ch @ 4 ohms if you ran F&R in 4 channel mode.
The other option is a 4 channel amp that nets ~65 RMS/ch x 4 @ 4 ohms/ch. US Acoustics makes a nice 4 channel that is +65 RMS x 4 @ 4 ohms and this will give you plenty of power for those speakers mentioned.
