Sounds like the internal amp has a power supply problem. Can you return it for exchange or warrantee swap?

Before you do, make sure you are grounding to bare metal in the car like floor pan or similar.

Also, If you have a Walkman, try hooking up a headphone jack w/ adaptor (RCA's) to the input side of the Amp. If you stull have the problem... something wrong with the amp guts.

I can't exchange it because I bought it cheap from a internet company. I did hook it up to my brothers car and it didn't buzz. So I am thinking that it might not be something with the sub. Maybe something with the REM?

Good question... if you lost REM, the amp will not turn on properly.

Can test to see if you have REM voltage with a DC voltmeter. It should read ~12 volts or so. (between REM and ground) You can remove the REM lead for your HU, run a small jumper wire from B+ (12 volt power line) to REM and see if that fires up the amp. If yes, you'll need to make a new REM lead from IGN/ACC to REM lug on amp. This should be fused @ 1-3A.

PS Are you sure you have the ground and B+ on the proper lugs? Just checking...

I think it is the amp personally.

I still have to try it out, I need to wait for a day off of work. I will let you know the outcome. Thanks

doesnt the basslink have like an auto signal sensing circuit or am i thinking of something else?

Yes, BL does have a sensing link, but only on the high signal inputs.

"BassLink can accept up to four channels of input – to provide nonfading bass – either from line-level signals through four RCA jacks or from high-level signals through a pair of Molex connectors, allowing BassLink to be easily connected to OEM systems. If using the speaker-level inputs, an audio-sense circuit will turn on the amplifier whenever a signal is present. If the RCAs are used, a 12-volt, remote-turn-on lead is required. The system has barrier strip connections for power, ground and remote turn-on."

PS This "...." info came off the Infinity web site.

That didn't work, I hooked it back up to my bro's car and it is doing the same thing after all. How can I fix my amp?

Try contacting Infinity Tech support on this one and see what they recommend. They may have knowledge that some units left the factory with a common defect and they may relace it for shipping/handling costs both ways.

If not, ask for repair center you can send it to for a factory fresh sound.
