Wonder how many they will actually sell of these BIG DOGS? Swez PS I do like the field replacable guts idea though. That shows some real innovation! compvr15s on 10/11/2003 12:30:12 probably wouldnt be so bad if it didnt take the power 5 high power amps, and and 500 dollar alternator just to run the thing. the stereo shop around me had that mtx rfl152 that big comp sub that was supposed to be so great they had that at 1000 dollars and ended up keeping it for like 9 months and dropping down to like 599. wounder if they will do the same if they get a solo x. Swez on 10/11/2003 13:38:41 Kicker is really stepping out on a limb with this product. This is definitely a niche product and few will have the need for such a massive sub and all it takes to power it up to full potential. I too, see a major price cut or very limited production on this sub. Only the stout at heart and fat of wallet need apply! Swez accusedmonk on 10/12/2003 21:11:49 Audiobahn has a 34" sub that is 10000 max and 5000 rms, on thier website there's a picture of a kid sitting in one, well a very large sub at least, not sure if its the same one, but go to products, subs, then linear compression i think and they go up to 34" in size, i kinda want one... compvr15s on 10/13/2003 02:20:34 them are the same specs on the solo x but its only 18 inches, imagine if they made a 34 inch square sub its prolly be 10000 rms 20000 max lol thats insane as far as that 34 from audiobanh im sure its sounds crappy since its a competiton speaker, unless you planned on competing you would probably disapointed with the performace of the sub accusedmonk on 10/13/2003 21:06:04 I've got two comp subs from lightning audio, 12's, they don't sound that bad since they are made for comps, but if your after SQ, the solo x won't work out so hott either with just mine, there's prolly only maybe one person with a better audio system then mine in my county, show's how small it is (daily drivers) that's without a cap and beefed up alt, which is kinda surprising me that the subs hit as hard as they do without the little extra juice, i'd like to measure how many amps i'm pulling with these subs, going to the subs and the power to the amp, i've only tripped the circuit breaker twice while having it for a few months now i really wish trickin out cars didn't cost so much... at least $500 for the exaust system i wan't, u guys know a place to get HKS stuff cheaper then retail? that audiobahn probably wouldn't sound to bad actually, either way, the audiobahn 34" would push more air, they have great power handling and keeping the sensitivity up too, i'm kinda wondering if that's at 2.83 volts or whatever it was or 1 watt/1 meter, if it's 1w/1m then i might get the flame q 12's Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
