Alright... after a lot of research and reading up i've decided on a system for my car... i have a 1990 VW golf and i just need it to kick my ass with harmonious sound. Since bass isn't a big deal to me i'm not going to have a sub... i'm gonna run a pioneer dehp5500mp reciever, some infinity kappa 3.5"s in the front and i'm gonna box some Infinity Kappa 693.5is in the open trunk. I really want to bring out the sound in the 6x9s so i want to get an amp.... they are 330 watts, with a 110 watt rms... what would be a good amp to bring out the full potential of these speakers? thanks a lot in advance.

Yep, that amp will do the job... but SS products are not cheap either. Just for the rears... plenty of SPL here but the front speakers are really lacking in power handling and frequency range.

A typical 3.5" driver (coaxial) will take about 25-35 watts RMS of power, but the low end frequency response is going to be very poor. Adding a bass blocking filter is recommended and filter should be somewhere in the 200-300 Hz range.... blocking all lows below the frequencies noted.

Using this strategy, balance between from and rear speakers will be heavily pronounced from the rear channels and Mid/high fill in the front. You can anticipate some modest bass (50 Hz and up) from the rear channels, but not the deep lows most want from a sub system in the install. If you build an enclosure for the 6x9's, better bass performance can be expected then "free air" designs.
