I was wondering about different impeadence setups for subs. I know you can get different setups by wiring subs in series or in paralell, and using more than one sub changes it too. Having dual voice coils helps in this area for more capabilities, but is there another way of lowering impeadance? -wanna be Replies (2) ttocs on 09/26/2003 19:00:30 the only way to alter the impedence without another driver is with a resistor. To get one to handle 30-45 watts a generall system pushes is kinda expensive, and really just stupid. by putting the resistor inline with the speaker, you may get more pwr from the amp, but the resistor is going to eat that pwr, and the pwr might just eat the resistor as well.
