I have this VT sub and enclosure and I was wondering how much it is worth and how much they sold for brand new?

Usually used electronics are only worth half of the average retail cost. That's when in good to mint condition. The only exceptions are old school products that are underrated and high demand to an elite crowd of consumers that recognize and desire them. These can go higher and sometimes over the original cost like antiques.

A good place to start is the web. Try googling the brand and model you want to get rid of to see what it's original cost or what it's worth now on ebay. I found decent luck with stuff like that looking up cache's. Don't be surprised if it's much lower than you'd like. That's part of the electronics game.....

Right now, there are so many great deals out there for "new in box" products, it's hard to get a good return on "gently used" gear. If you have a buddy that likes the VT system you have now, a 50% discount is very realistic if the price/performance is right for all parties.

If you tried e-bay, you may find a buyer who values that sub/enclosure combo, but at a deeper discount after S/H charges and such are likely. It's a buyers market right now and for many, cash is tight.
Keep that in mind if you go that route.

The problem with lower line brands is the specs are usually off and power ratings inflated or boast max not rms. This kind of marketing can easily lead to misuse or even abuse of gear. This is the main reason why most will stick with higher tier products as it normally guarantees better quality and/or at least consistency in specs.

I invested in some simple test tools and was surprised when I saw which companies didn't mind misleading the consumer.
