Aftermarket entertainment system to connect to JBL

Hi
I have just bought a CASKA3637 entertainment system for my toyota Highlander 2008. This car has a JBL audio system. The Caska i have just bought has an amplifier incorporated so no way to short cut or bypass it. Is there a way I can input the JBL amplifier with the high level output from that unit? I don't want to mess up my JBL or bypass it. Is there any help possible?
Thanks a lot and regards

Do you have a link to technical specs and features for the Caska product mentioned? I googled that item and nothing came up?

How do you like the JBL Factory system in this SUV?

Good catch Walt!

This system offers RCA audio and Video ports to feed outboad amps and video screens. The wiring directions are available on pages 9-11. From what I see here, it's just a matter of finding the JBL amp inputs and connect the HU outputs to this new one.

This HU seems to also have internal amps to power speakers as well. You can either bypass the JBL amp and wire speaker outs from the HU to drive internal speakers. Or, tap into the JBL amps and use that to run the speakers.

Personally, I would e-mail or call the Mfg of this HU and see what they recommend as patch kits for JBL amped systems. They may have an integration wiring harness that makes the job a snap.

Hi Swez
all sounds right and makes sense now that you have looked into it...I'll try . I have also followed your advice and wrote the manufacturer so I'll hear what they say. I have also been wondering if I could not use the digital line-out that the HU offers to feed the JBL provided it has a digital line-in. What do you think?
cheers

Good move on your part. That brand HU is not familiar to most of us and I'd rather let the Mfg walk you through the required steps.

Hopefully they will provide diagrams and specific notes to make this a successful adventure. That way, we all learn what to do if this one pops up again.

BTW: Nice HU with some very neat features. It has every basic and advance features that most guys could want and will look like an OEM install when finished.

Keep us posted OK?

Hi buddy I went great distance to buy this stuff I've been after it from Knoxville TN, to Australia back to europe and then redirected to China where i finally could loicate the manufacturer and then bought the beast ... the company is coagent: www.coagent.cn and my contact is Philip Qi I am sure they won't mind enquiries from others in the US. The unit is known as CA3637 from CASKA electronics. I hope this will help... mine cost a bit less than 700bucks somebody could add options such like ipod interface DBTV, etc... There's not much details on the web site where you have a full load of nav system for different car types...
I'll mount that and get it to work then I'll let you guys know if the car is in ashes or else...I just like that piece of electronics price is not beatable by what toyota can offer... cheers
