I`m looking for information on my truck. I have a 2006 GMC Sierra with a Premium Bose stock radio with Onstar. I purchased a aftermarket deck and the salesman sold me a GMCO harness. I installed it and have sound when i listen to the radio but no sound on the CD, USB, Aux or Bluetooth. Everything looks fine i can see the disk information and read the mem stick i just have no sound. Wondering if i have the right harness i found others that could work. Any help would be appreciated greatly I`m at the end of my fuse with this unit. If you have non onstar you may have the wrong harness. If you get any greif from the sale's man go to autotoys.com and down load the pdf on that harness. Been the done that was enough for me. If this help's cool if not there is a great bunch of people on this site (the site of knowledge) it's cool. any how they will help you. Look again at the harness. it sounds as though your radio has a power antenna wire(blue) as well as a remote turn on wire(blue and white). The power antenna wire is made to power the antenna only when the radio is on, where the remote turn on is made to power an amp any time the radio is on. It sounds as though you have the bose amplifiers turning on and off with the radio meaning you connected the blue power ant wire rather then the remote turn on wire. Switch the blue wire on the decks hrns to the blue/white wire and your done Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
