Most amps do not have that feature and the ones that do, allow stringing amps together for more power, but these are generally more expensive brands.

What amp/sub system do you have now? (Make and model #'s)

the technical term is strapping and an amp generally has to be designed to be strapped and also takes alot of tweeking to get it working properly.

If you have 2 idnetical amps and one DVC sub couldn't you just power one amp to each voice coil to achieve more power? I have never tried this before nor have I know any who has. Just a thought.

It can be done that way if we use a AC voltmeter to set the amp gains for each coil set to have matching voltage readings. We want to avoid coil A getting say 25 volts and coil B getting more or less voltage. That will damage the sub. Both coils need the same voltage readings.
