Hi all im tring to hook up a sony exlode hu model cdx-m8810
into my 93 probe. the problem is there is no wiring harness in the probe just a bunch of hanging wires. i have the connection for the back of the of the explode, its been hooked up in my camaro could i still use that one? there seems to be more wires in the camaro than in the probe. or should i just suck it up and pay someone else to do it.

It is doughtful the camero plug will work as they are made for different cars.Get a test light find a good ground with the key off probe the wires untill you find a hot one this goes to the yellowwire form the reciever, now turn the key on and find a hot wire leave the probe connected and turn the key off, if the light goes on and off with the key hook this to the red wire, now find a good ground point on bare metel and hook the black wire. at this point make sure no wires are touching and power up the unit. does it come on?

Right on thanks! you info was right on the money. this was my first hu install and with a bunch of hanging wires boy was it a pain. now the rest is a piece of cake. Nothing sepcial just going with 2 12in audio tec subs and a 800 watt earthquake amp till i can up grade.
