There are a couple of ways to do this. What make and model HU do you have now? (Stock or Aftermarket?) Most aftermarket HU's have REMote power turn on circuits unless it's been damaged. 1. Run a switch operated REMote from the ACC/IGN circuit on your HU, (Player, radio...) and install a switch to shut it off when you are away. 2. Connect you present amp REM lead to the ACC/IGN circuit in the HU. Power will only flow to the amp when the key is in ACC or IGN/Run modes. 3. If this is an aftermarket HU and has a Blue/wht stripe wire, that is the REMote amp turn on signal source for most Aftermarket HU's. Swez PS Lose the Cap Lock button when ya come it. It's considered shouting our yellling. (You may feel that need right now, but our hearing is fine) ;-) Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
