whats up guys i was wondering if u can only youse 1 coil on each dual sub

There is a method where the unused coil must be tapped with a variable potentiameter, (pot) and you dial in the resistance value to get the best overall sound from the remaining coil.
This pot is needed to absorb the electrical energy generated in the coil as it moves in and out of the magnetic gap. Adire Audio used to have a white paper on this concept some 5 years ago. Good luck finding the paper as they went under.
Tech Tip: Do not try this method without a pot on the unused coil !!!
