Infinity Kappa, Refs are both good choices. However, if looking for a low cost, (4-way) 6x9 set of full range, I installed a set of American Pro: 1AMP-VS1469C 4 WAY 6"X9" $49.99/pr. http://www.justcarspeakers.com I was shocked how well these sound for the price. Nice looks, good midbass and not too bad of balance in mids/highs either. Pretty beefy too... 150 watts RMS and very good efficiency too. (+90 dB) Like I said, were pretty inexpensive... but was pleasantly surprized at how well they fill in the rear channels. No kidding... for under $75.00 a set, I call this a real buy! Have a look! Swez ttocs on 04/3/2003 23:59:57 infinity's can be a little rich for my taste. The tweeters screem a little to much really. I didn't use to like alpine speakers at all when I first started installing and selling them. They have made the necessary changes and are a very good speaker now... I would own a set. GT_man on 04/4/2003 00:27:32 I dont like rear fill at all..it messes up the soundstageing in the car....if i where you Id just take the money from the rear speaker budget and put it into some really nice component sets for the front (Adire Koda's come to mind) Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
