How to get video from iPhone 36 into Pioneer AVH-P3100DVD

I just had a Pioneer AVH-P3100DVD installed in my truck. Perhaps someone here is intimately familiar with this unit.

I am trying to get video to play from my iPhone to the unit. I have the required IU-50V Pioneer cable. The manual says iPhone 3G (v2.0+) is supported, so I am good there. When I connect everything up, all functions except for video playback work. I have AUX 1 set to 'iPod' as instructed by Pioneer customer support. When I play a movie, I get teh movie title in test, and no video - just audio.

Anyone have any idea what I might need to do to get this to work?

Chances are good that you did not ground the DVD player properly to your parking brake system. If this is not done right, the DVD player will not work properly. As a safety feature, the DVD will only activate when the parking brake is engaged. In most states, it's illegal to operate a DVD player that is visable to the driver when the vehicle is in motion.

You can get good technical assistance from Crutchfield on what's missing via online chat or calling their 800 number and speaking with one of their customer service Reps. They will walk you through the step if you have a manual handy and make notes as they give the details.
