So! last few days we’ve been doing a TON of work on a team mates explorer...

we managed to get:
Four runs of 2/0ga wire
Four NGT Group 31 Bats
Two MMats 4000.1 amps
Two 18" boxes @34hz
and two DC XL 18s
all behind the middle seats

goal for this ride is a loud daily driver that gives him the improved storage of the middle row and also (uncomfortably) seats 4-5 while still having a strong range into the low 30s and bass racing 149.9 (151+ Max SPL on music)

I’m glad to report that during his qualifying run he jumped to 150.9 VERY quickly and cut volume to end at a comfortable 149.5

This keeps his 1st place streak going GRIN

and in case you forgot GRIN the older box:
Photobucket

Older box had massive volume and small prot (8sqin per cuft)
New box has small volume and massive port (17sqin per cuft)

in this we lost about 1db but gained the whole middle row :)
Voltage was slightly different as well, 12v flat for big box and 12.4/12.5v for small box (electrical upgrades)
