What size amp should I get to power 3 ifinity reference 1250W? They all are 300 RMS and 4 Ohm. Could someone help me? If you really want a 3 x 12" sub system, you'll need a 1-Ohm stable Class D amp amp that can deliver 1,000-1,200 watts RMS @ 1-ohm loads. The cost of an amp in this range, power consumption and wiring hardware will be a push on the budget. Suggestion... Use only two subs and keep the 3rd as a spare. Here, you can use one amp and do a very nice job filling this SUV with bass and not overtaxing your electricals system. (Alpine MRP-M650) This would be a very good match for 2 subs. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-UJ5fIC3rUaP/p_500MRPM650/Alpine-MRP-M650.html (Specs) Adding a 3rd sub and a larger power amp is not going to give you much more bass for the bucks. Ask yourself this... "Is a meager +3dB bump in bass worth the extra cost and space"? (You may need electrical upgrades as well to get this package right) Comments/Questions?
