Hello, I have a very old Pioneer BP-880 Graphic Eq/Booster that I want to install. The wires are as follows and are self explanatory..
Red-12v to ignition sw.
Red w/ white stripe - Connect to red constant
Black - Ground
Blue - Has 1 male and 1 female lead on the same wire to connect to system control terminal and auto-antenna respectively.
4 front left and right + and - wires
4 rear left and right + and - wires
The problem I have is there are also three additional wires
One solid black
One solid green
One gray w/ green stripe
I think those wires are booster input wires but where do they connect to the stereo? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Is this one of those late 80's EQ/Amplifiers? If it is, they are not much better than a paper weight. Used one of those many years ago and they are so lame, it's a toy at best.

Outboard amps are a much better option or at least a good Aftermarket HU that delivers a solid 20 watts RMS to each speaker would be a better way to go.

If you want to buy the install manual, go here:

Good luck, but don't expect much,
Swez

I already know what to expect as I don't need it to do much at all. I just wanted to re-use it now but I don't have the manual and I thought someone with knowledge would know where to connect the wires in question. Thanks anyway.

OK, they do work and if that's where you wish to go, it looks like you'll have to purchace the install manual to figure out how to wire it up.

Try an extended google search under that product number and see if there's a free manual available. It's been so long since I used one of these, (25 years ago) I cannot recall the wiring needs.

Good luck,
Swez
