This job could cause you some grief and extra wiring harness if upgrading to an Aftermarket HU. The Chevy trucks between 2002-04 do not have normal IGN/ACC taps and uses a Class II Serial Data Buss. Here's a link that can help with factory wiring codes:

May I suggest that you call Crutchfield Techs and see what they recommend as a work-a-round for this specific model: 1-800-555-8305
