Your Bahn subs should go pretty low in the proper sized enclosure. The other factor would be the space inside your trunk. If the rear seats drop down, this will create a larger airspace and more low end bass.

Going to port tuned box will take up more space, but with proper dimensions on the box and port(s), these subs should go low and sound strong.

Do you still have the product manual on these subs? They are an older model and I cannot find adequate information on recommended enclosure specs.

What's a low price in your thinking?

$200-$300 bucks is my amp a good amp

swez on 03/7/2009 00:16:35
Yes, the amp is fine if it's getting enough juice from the electrical system on this sedan. BXi-2006D right?

Frankly, most of the Bahn stuff I have reviewed is not a good value or worth their weight in sand. (I don't normally bash gear, but Bahn has a reputation that leaves to be desired)

If you have a box that already fits, it would be good to know more about it.

Sealed or ported?
Overall dimensions: (H, W & D and panel thickness)

Knowing these parts, will help find a drop in fit for subs that will deliver.

whats up swez i know ive been coming at you guys with my swat meet brand **** my bad its what i can afford .so i was wondering how i wire {2} Phoenix Digital PD-397 Amplifiers 1 amp to each bahn i have do you honestley think it will hit harder then m brutis please show me how i would wire my aw1200eu dual voice coil bahns there in a ported box each sub has its on chamber

Was that Swap Meet or Swat Meat? SMILE

The Phoenix Digitals are not a good fit for your Bahn subs. They have the power when bridged Mono, but only if your subs were 4 ohm SVC's or 2+2 DVC's. Yours are 4+4 DVC's and that's the snag.

The TXi 1508D will do the job, if you can find one at the right price.

You can get a pair of Type-R's for subs from if your looking to upgrade them still. http://www.dealercostcaraudio.com/search.aspx?manufacturer=31&log=false&category=337. ($250)

They have an oustanding reputation for SQ and durability and they put can put out very nice lows!

hey whats up swez well i got the specs on that ported box with is 36' bottom depth 16-1/4'' top depth 16-1/4'' hieght 13-1/4'' a grade 5/8'' mdf .i hope this will help u figure out whats a good box for my bahns. i was looking at the dual voice coil interfire ifb 8oo watts subs do you think these will hit better then my bahns.

The specs you have given show a 3.6 cf enclosure, (Minus sub displacements of what... 0.15 cf/sub) and about 1.8 cf per sub.

The wood thickness of 5/8" MDF is not a good match for these subs as the 36" length panels will tend to flex and vibrate at resonance of the box. Here, 3/4" MDF if recommended and some internal bracing on the long span of the Width is recommended.

I have scanned many sites to find any information on these Bahn AW1200eu subs. I did find a guy who installed a ported box with these Bahns and it was over 6.0 cf and no port details were given. I see you have scoured the web forums for details and no one has come back with recommendations, specs or details on recommended porting options for these subs.

The original website for Bahn car audio was:

http://www.audiobahninc.com

However, when using that link, nothing comes up. It's like Audiobahn has been wiped off the web except for sites that either market older Bahn gear or forums that list Bahn gear in their questions and threads.

Finally, may I suggest a shot in the dark? Crutchfield.com used to sell Bahn products up until a few years ago. Their Tech Service people may still have archived files and specs on Bahn products they sold and can shoot details to you if they still have them on file.

It tells me that Bahn was not a reliable product and the line was not well supported, fell out of favor with key distributors and were dumped like a hot rock. Those who still buy Bahn gear, do so w/o any real support if something goes wrong.

Good luck as we are spinning our wheels unless more product info can be found. Try this number for Bahn Support: 1-800-488-8595.

Crutch Advisor, (Maria) gave me these details:

Audiobahn recommends a ported enclosure with an internal volume between 1.3 and 3.3 cubic feet. Three specific enclosures are listed in the manual. The "Space Saver" design is 1.3 cubic feet and has one 3" diameter x 7.25" long port. The "Everyday Bass" design is 2.3 cubic feet and has one 4" diameter x 7.25" long port. The "Ultimate SPL" design is 3.3 cubic feet and has two 4" diameter x 11" long ports.

Maria suggested this prefab as a solid fit:
