I have 2 of the 12" type-r 1222d. i went to http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/79/2dvcseriesvcparallelsubs0gh.jpg and looked at the wiring diagram but i was wonder if anyone could show a picture (real or done in like ms paint) of how it should look inside the box. my box has 1 chamber for each sub so im trying to figure out how to get the wires from one sub to the other

you can take them straight to the amp.

If you have a mono Class D amp (which you should) it will have two (+) and two (-) outputs on the amp.

so each output goes to each woofer and then wired in series at the woofer

When i have some spare time i'll do it up in MS paint.

**this works for a mono amp if you have a 2ch it may be a bit different

a friend is sending me his alpine mrp-m1000 to use until i can get into something new. i read that this amp would be a good match for the type-r

Yes, this is a good matching amp for the pair of SWR-1222D subs. The Alpine amp is 2 ohm stable. Anything below 2 ohms will shut the amp down.

newB's wiring diagram is correct if you have a terminal cup for each sub chamber. (2 cups as shown)

If you only have 1 terminal cup on this box, all wiring is done inside the box and looks like this: Wiring option #2 = 2 ohms

Got all that?

Awesome. Appreciate the help. Thanks guys.

I'm reading in the online manual for the mrp-m1000 and it says that it only has 1 set of speaker outputs. If I use a box with a shared chamber would I be able to wire it exactly the way they show here? And just use 1 set of terminals on the box, so on the outside of the box I'll only have 2 wires running to the amp.
