Uhm, this is getting expensive trying things on your own huh? Come here or another trusted site so you can get the right info and save some headaches and $$$ too. If I recall, you have a pair of Bahn 4+4 DVC's (Yes?) What's the model # of this Brutus amp? (BXi xxxx?) Your post said it's a 2 channel amp right? This means it's not 1 or 2 ohm stable in MONO mode. (4 ohms is needed in MONO mode) The easiest/safest way to wire things up would be: 1. Each sub is wired for 2 ohms (both coils in parallel = 2 ohms) 2. Each sub gets its own amp channel Here's a link to help visualize what to do: Wiring option #1 is used here and you do not bridge the amp to Mono! http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/woofer_wizard.asp?submitted=true&woofer_qty=1&woofer_imp=4 In this case, each sub needs its own wiring cup. Does this box have 2 cups or one? If it only has one cup, we'll have to do another route. I can explain that later if needed. Swez rayray_12000 on 03/3/2009 22:45:34 whats up swez let me start buy thanking you guys for youre help and for being patient with my half info ive been giving you BXi 2006D 2000-Watt x 1 RMS @ 1-Ohm u guys .the amp is a Brutus BXi Series Super D-Class™ Champions and my subs are 4x4 what does that mean? my box is a dual 12 inch box with a port on each end cap running from top to bottomand about 2 inches wide and the legth is the ls about 13 inches long each sub has its own port so they dont share air space.i have a nother box that has a 1 port in the middle about 4inches wide and 15 inches long and both subs are sharing air space. would this be a better box or do yoiu recommend a fully closed box. specifications on this amp Hifonics New Illuminated Heat-Sink Design With Blue LED Light Pumps Hifonics Blue Illuminated Logo Maxxsonics Illuminated "M" End Panel Logo Heavy-Duty Ultra-Fi™ MOSFETS Highly Efficient Super D-Class Amplifier Circuitry With Oversized MOSFET Output Fully Adjustable Accu-Cross™ Crossovers ±18dB Variable Bass Equalization @ 45Hz 180° Variable Phase Control (15 to 35Hz) Dash-Mountable Bass Remote Control Included Variable 24dB Subsonic Filter Brutus Pulse Wave Modulated MOSFET EXVP (Exponential Vari-Power Supply) Twin-Turbo Torroid Coil Design HSMD Hifonics Surface Mount Design Balance Line Inputs for our 18-Volt Line Drivers RCA Line Output for Amplifier Daisy Chaining Gold Oversized 2-Gauge Power Connectors Power From The Gods Included specification swez on 03/4/2009 17:59:53 OK, now that we are clear on the amp in question, this is a 1 ohm stable MONO amp. You can delete the specs section and just use a link. Like this: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6523_Hifonics+BXi+2006D.html# There are 4 speaker terminals on this amp for ease of wiring. See the pictures: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/pictures.php?id=6523 Note the polarity markers on the speaker terminals. This not the usual way most amps do it. (Rem, +, +, -, -) That's an oddball way I've never see on any amp before. That's 5 terminal lugs in all in this group. Does your sub box have 1 or 2 speaker terminal cups in it? Knowing that, I can show you how to wire your subs correctly to this amp. Swez rayray_12000 on 03/6/2009 11:40:48 it has only one terminal cup it did have 2 but i illiminated one cup so theres a + and - coming out of my box for both subs .thanks swez swez on 03/6/2009 12:24:00 Ok, you can wire everything inside the box for a 1-ohm load and here's a diagram to help you get there. Use wiring option #1: http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/woofer_wizard.asp?submitted=true&woofer_qty=2&woofer_imp=4 OBSERVE POLARITY CAREFULLY!!!
