Just installed a new aftermarket radio into my Jeep Grand Cherokee. Used correct harness (costs 70 bucks)... after wiring harness to radio harness, everything plugged right together. Turned on radio.. got power, but no sound. Plugged up original stock radio.. got sound. Then, plugged up new radio, and it worked. From then on, the radio works fine.. UNTIL it sits overnight, then no sound from new unit again. Only way to get it to work is to plug old radio back up first. Can someone please help????

Hum, this is a new one and hard to say exactly what is going on at the moment. Have a few questions and then we can proceed OK? Ouch!
Is this the Infinity Upgrade package with internal amps to the speakers? If the speaker grills say Infinity, you have internal amps.
What is the make & model of the aftermarket HU you have now?
Did you use the harness ground for the new HU or a dedicated ground to the floorpan or firewall?
Say more please,
