i have a MRP-M500 mono amplifier and i was at circuit city and since they closing down they have a lot of subs on sale and one that interested me is the kicker L5 10" and i was wondering if my amp can power this L5 up? my amp gets 300 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms (500 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms) and the L5 requires * Peak: 900
* RMS: 450 watts

the alpine amp should power the 10in L5 pretty nice, but make sure you get the dual 4 ohm version of the sub..

(model number)
Kicker L5 S10L54

then wire both voice coils parallel to the amp for a net 2 ohm load..

Correct and ditto!

FYI: Just note that CC is now in the hands of brokers who will try to get the most $$$ they can from all transactions they do at this point. You may not get warranty rights and sold "as is" too. So, if something goes wrong, or you get a demo or a refurb, you may get a below par deal and no warranty. (Buy at your own risk)

All that to say, shop the web and see if you can get both a better price, free s/h and a warranty.

manufacturers are covering everything...but you'll have to ship it to the them in order to get it replaced.

prepare to wait because CirQuit Municipality customers are felonious for torching their stuff assuming that they'll get it replaced if they do so they may be inundated with repair work.

Also, check on local authorized repair shops. a quick email to the mfr tech support might get you that. Here in Mpls, one of the local repair shops takes in about 20 or so brands.
