do you think this would work

I have been continuing with my install slowly but surely. Since I finished the enclosure my cardomain page for it was somehow deleted, now sure how.... The next step I wanted to do was to get all the wiring goodies so I could mount the fuse holder in the consol the way I wanted to. I found the digital one at knu looked great and would fit where I wanted to flush mount it into the front of the consol. They recently started a section similar to car domain to show off knucars and I thought about making a page there but realized that I was just going to be advertising for them for free. Being unemployed I can't really afford to be pimping peoples stuff for free so I though if I wrote them a letter explaining my plan to show off their fuse holder and make a page similar to my mustangs if they would give a discount or sponsorship. My momstang page has been doing great and at one point was the number 3 ranked mustang on the site with over 30k hits, seems like a good plug. I was suprised to not get any responce from them, let alone a rejection but I needed the stuff and thier price was good so I ended up with a >$200 order to be able to complete it(thanks to x-mas cash). I finished mounting the fuse holder today and I am just waiting for the paint to dry to mount it and take some pics and I am happy with the way it will look front and center in the consol with the V display. Once it is dry I will move on to the amp rack.

Now as I said I can't be working for free so here is my plan. I was happy to see that the knuconcept logo on the panel that covers the fusehold could be easily wiped off with some IPA so now it just looks like a plain smoked plexi panel. I am going to wipe the logos off of the covers of the battery terminals as well so that I am sure anyone that knows thier gear will kinda recognize it, but I am gonig to list it on my cardomain page as the cheapest wire I could find(its true). I think that by posting some pics over what I have done both here and on a couple of other sites, and what I am going to do will generate more then a few hits. How successfull do you think it would have to be for me to send another note to knu showing them my work with thier no name cheap gear(they will certainly recognize it) and all the hits it has had to get thier attention? Not sure what it could be worth to me since I already have both of my cars nearly completed stereo wise but I am still curious if it could work.

Understand how you feel about generating some income with your choices and skills. But in this case, making a buck may not come from this one. Knu is a solid product at very fair prices.

Now that they have been added to your "Best in Class" install list, does not mean you are entitled to endorsement fees? (We wish huh?) But that may not pan out right now.

Fortunately, you have viable skills as a Pro Installer and if there's a market for that skill in your area, go after it if you can. At least you'll have some income for now, while figuring out your next moves for later.

You may gain some clout with Knu if you are installing gear and want to bring their line into the biz. "I will promote and use your products as a small biz entity". If Knu wants that exclusivity, they may offer lower prices and perks, based on volume. (More profit to your shop)

Other than that, there's not much Knu may offer but a solid product line of goods, at below brand name rates. Their margins are lower to get their name out. If it benefits the user(s) and saves a few dollars in margins for a shop, go there for a spiff.
